Paul Mew Associates offers a ‘one-stop ’ travel plan service to clients which includes preparing and gaining approval of travel plans as part of planning conditions or legal agreements, implementing travel plans once the development is brought into use as well as operating travel plans over the long term. As part of this we advise clients at the design stage of facilities and initiatives that will be required to be built in to development to help achieve the aims of the travel plan.

The team at Paul Mew Associates have had considerable experience in formulating Travel Plans and we are fully conversant with current Travel Plan guidance prepared by national, region and local authorities. We have considerable experience in the formation of employee Travel Plans for hotel, retail and industrial sites, visitor Travel Plans for sports centres and leisure attractions, as well as Residential Travel Plans and School Travel Plans. Our Travel Plans follow an ‘industry standard’ format and, depending on the site’ geographical location, can either be iTrace, TRAVL or TRICS compliant.

Increasingly we assuming the role of the Travel Plan Coordinator for clients freeing them up to run their businesses and developments, while we carry out travel surveys required by travel plan guidance, host ‘travel plan surgeries’, prepare and distribute relevant promotion material and deal with local authority liaison. We are currently Travel Plan Coordinator for a number of schools, hotels, office and residential developments.

We can offer help in reducing the number of car based journeys through a range of measures including the promotion of local public transport, cycling, walking, car clubs as well as implementation of car sharing schemes, and advice on financial incentives.
