Travelodge
Since Paul Mew Associates was founded we have worked on 30+ development projects with Travelodge. Projects with the hotel operator and their planning consultants and construction contractors have included traffic impact assessments for new sites across the UK. In recent years this has increasingly included the preparation of Travel Plans and serving management plans. City centre sites with good links to public transport are able to provide car-free development while developments in tourist areas have their own unique local characteristics. Recent locations we have worked on include the City of London, Reading, Devizes, Watford, Blackpool, Sheffield and Aberdeen.
Royal Parks Agency
Working with the scheme architects we carried out a traffic study to assess the impact of providing new sports facilities within Regents Park, London. Being located in the centre of the park, traffic relating to the development would have to be accommodated on the park’s existing road network. An extensive series of parking demand and traffic flow surveys were undertake to determine the effects the new facilities would have on junction performance and parking supply.
Mill Ride Golf Club
As part of plans for a new club building including health and fitness facilities; a transport assessment was required to show that no traffic issues would arise as part of the proposals.
Ramada Hotel Dover
We have recently worked on a scheme to provide new function and conference suite facilities at the Ramada Hotel in Dover. A traffic generation assessment was carried out and tested on the adjacent junction of the busy A2. In addition an assessment of parking provision was carried out to ensure that an adequate level of on-site provision would be made to meet future guest demand.
Hornchurch Football Club
As part of proposed redevelopment plans, a traffic impact and access study was
carried out at the home of Hornchurch Football Club. With significant peaks
in demand for car and sustainable trips pre and post match the ability of the
local highways and public transport infrastructure was assessed to ensure that
impact was minimised.
Millennium Bridge House
Transport assessment, travel plan and service management plan for the proposed change of use of this large office building on the banks of the River Thames, London to a 400 bedroom hotel with restaurant, gym and function rooms. With excellent public transport accessibility the main focus related to public transport, walk cycle and sustainable trips generation along with rationalisation and management of the existing on-site basement car park.
