Waitrose Store Expansion
We were appointed by Waitrose to carry out a design audit as part of the partnerships’ plans for an expansion of their store in Wantage, Oxon. The project included the carrying out of service vehicle swept path analysis and routing assignments.
Felixstowe Port Study
When proposals were formulated for new development within the Port of Felixstowe we were called upon to carry out a traffic impact and junction assessment. Traffic flow forecasts relating to the new facilities were prepared and the resulting data used to test new and modified junction on and off site.
Neats Court Regeneration
Having worked on the regeneration Masterplan for Queenborough on the Isle of Sheppey, we were retained to prepare highways related work for the first stage of the development. The initial phase will see Neats Court developed to provide new office, leisure and business land uses to be served by a new link road. Traffic impact assessments for the new facilities were prepared and tested against the proposed new highway infrastructure.
Tesco Stores Ltd
When a new supermarket is proposed with access from an existing busy grade separated roundabout, traffic impact and junction performance issues are vital to resolve. The work carried out by Paul Mew Associates saw recommendations being made to alter key elements of the junction layout while junction capacity analysis lead to the formulation of new signal settings which not only would accommodate new development flows but would also improve the existing performance of the junction.
Woburn Sands Garden Centre, Bedfordshire
Parking and trip generation assessment to accompany a variation in planning consent application for the introduction of new retail franchises at the Bedfordshire garden centre. The study involved carrying out a series of customer interview and traffic surveys at the site and a similar site in Gloucestershire.
